In collaboration with fashion designer Isabela Capeto and Stella Artois, I led the visual identity development for an exclusive 2020 Carnival capsule collection. Drawing inspiration from the vintage circus aesthetic, the collection spanned costumes, t-shirts, bodysuits, and accessories, designed to capture the vibrant, collective energy of Brazilian Carnival.

The challenge

Unite two distinct brands—a Brazilian high-fashion label and a global beverage powerhouse—under a single visual identity that felt authentic to Carnival, respected both brands’ heritage, and resonated with a diverse audience.

Branding

To reflect the spirit of Carnival, I developed a visual system that fused both brands’ identities into a single, celebratory mark. The logo combined the typographies of Stella Artois and Isabela Capeto, while the collection’s symbol reimagined Capeto’s iconic doll with a Stella star headpiece—an accessory deeply tied to Brazilian Carnival culture. For typography, I paired a vintage circus-inspired typeface for titles with Capeto’s handwritten-style font for descriptions, reinforcing both the thematic aesthetic and the artistic character of the illustrations.

Concept presentation book

I put together a presentation book for Stella Artois’ internal review of the capsule collection. Instead of technical flats, I illustrated the pieces in a looser, expressive style to reflect the energy of Carnival, pairing them with typography that tied everything into a cohesive story.

Fashion collaterals

The project included branded tags and silk-screen labels, along with finalized artwork for production. Garment mockups were also developed to visualize the collection ahead of launch and ensure consistency across applications.

The event

The collection debuted at a star-studded Brazilian launch event, offering a first look at the costumes, bodysuits, t-shirts, and accessories that celebrated the country’s vibrant Carnival culture.

Impact

This project established a unified visual language for the collaboration, supporting stakeholder alignment, elevating the collection’s launch, and celebrating Brazilian Carnival with a design that seamlessly bridged fashion and global branding.
